Who we are. Storylode is run by Utz Jörg Nisslmüller, a sole trader in Vienna, Austria (see the Legal notice). Contact: ai@nisslmueller.me.
What Storylode is. An app that reviews MBA application material with AI. The reviews are fully automated: no human consultant reads your work. Storylode does not submit applications for you.
Who can use it. You must be 18 or older. Use Storylode only for your own business school application. Do not share your account.
Free CV check. Without a pass, you get 2 CV reviews (a first review and one re-check), plus a note for each of up to 3 schools on how your CV fits that school. It is free, so you can try Storylode before you buy.
Passes. A pass adds essay reviews, recommender memos, the story bank and an overall review before you submit. The passes are Single School (1 school, up to 15 reviews a day), Season Pass (3 schools, up to 25 reviews a day), Season Pass Plus (6 schools, up to 35 reviews a day). The pass is active on your account as soon as the payment goes through. A pass is one payment, not a subscription. Nothing renews by itself. The prices are on the Passes page in the app and on storylode.com, in US dollars. The prices include VAT or sales tax where it applies.
How long a pass lasts. A pass lasts until the end of the next 31 May after you buy it. That is the end of the application cycle. After that, your account goes back to the free CV check, and your work stays.
Extra schools and upgrades. You can add more schools to a pass, 39 USD each. They end with the pass. You can move to a bigger pass at any time; you pay its price minus what you already paid, and your extra schools move into it. A school stays on your pass once we have reviewed one of its essays or files, so removing it does not free a place for another school.
Daily limit. Each pass allows a number of reviews in any 24 hours (see above). A review you send to several schools counts once.
Payment. You pay in Link, Stripe's checkout. Link sells the pass to you as the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges any tax, and sends you the receipt. We provide the service.
Refunds. If a pass is not for you, email us within 7 days of buying it. If you have used at most 2 reviews of that pass, you get a full refund to the card or account you paid with. For an extra school or an upgrade, the 7 days start on the day you buy it, and we refund that payment. A review counts as under Daily limit: one send, however many schools it goes to. After that, there is no refund, except where the law gives you a right to one (see below).
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU and UK). If you buy as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying. At checkout, you ask us to start your pass at once, and you confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal when the first review of your pass runs. Until then, you can withdraw without giving a reason, and we pay back the full price within 14 days, to the card or account you paid with. To withdraw, email us a clear statement, for example: "I withdraw from my purchase of the Season Pass, bought on [date], account [email]." After the first review of your pass has run, there is no withdrawal and no partial refund. Our 7-day refund (see Refunds) still applies.
Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time. This ends your pass. You get money back only under Refunds or the right of withdrawal.
The beta. Closed beta testers use every feature for free until 23 November 2026. After that, they can read and delete their work, but new reviews need a pass. The beta can have errors or change at any time.
You are the author. The app reviews what you write and suggests edits. It does not write essays for you. You decide what you submit, and you are responsible for it. Some schools limit AI help: check each school's rules.
Reviews are opinions. A review is not a promise of admission or professional admissions advice. We cannot guarantee any result with a school.
Your content stays yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run Storylode for you (see the Privacy note). Keep your own copies of your work.
Fair use. Do not attack or overload the service, try to see other users' data, or upload other people's private data without their permission. We can close an account that breaks these terms. We then refund nothing, because the reviews have already run.
Availability. We work to keep Storylode running, but it can be down for maintenance or because of faults.
Liability. We are fully liable for damage that we cause on purpose or by gross negligence, and for personal injury. For slight negligence, we are liable only if we break a duty that is essential to the contract, and only up to the price you paid for your pass. We are not liable for the decision of any school. This does not limit liability where the law does not allow a limit, for example under the Austrian Product Liability Act (PHG) or the Consumer Protection Act (KSchG).
Changes. We can change these terms for new purchases. A pass you already bought keeps the terms you agreed to when you bought it, unless you agree to new ones.
Law. Austrian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live, and you can also take legal action there.
